針對大學部高年級和研究所學生設計之氣象資料科學課程，為銜接氣象統計之進階內容。通過實際大氣資料分析方法實驗，建立對於各種大氣資料分析處理之基本知識與瞭解，同時增進學生對於基礎程式語言編譯與數值繪圖分析工具使用之能力。課程內容將包含時序列與波譜分析、二維時空資料分析、資料特性分析技術與資料分類方法等。
The Laboratory of Atmospheric data sciences is a special course for senior level graduate students who is working on the atmospheric data analysis. In this course, we will discuss the advancing statistical methods and basic data sciences knowledge with the data analysis methods. The purpose of this course is to improve students' understanding of the basic skills of data analyzing and scientific presentation. The course material can increase students’ thinking about the fundamental atmospheric process and improving the data analysis capabilities, which also can apply to other advanced courses or researches. The course will cover the time-sequence/spectrum analysis, the method of empirical orthogonal function (EOF) analysis, signal process methods and data classification methods.
