本課程分上下學期，針對大四學生開設，藉由進行專題研究建立學生對科學研究的概念，包括:如何定義一個好的科學問題，如何收集資料，尋找相關文獻並閱讀，選擇研究方法（整理、分析資料），最後歸納出結果與結論。課程設計以小組進行，學生於小組中練習分工合作的態度、組織化的能力及溝通協調的技巧，例如：如何有效率的進行小組討論、收集組員意見後如何達成最後結論、掌握時間的能力等。最後的成果呈現包含海報與口頭報告。This course is designed for the final-year under graduate students. Students will gain the basic concept of a research project, including problem definition, data collection, literature review, research methodology (data analysis), and finally the results and conclusion. Students will be separated into small groups which allows them to practice several different skills, such as teamwork, organization, and communication skills. Other skills are running meetings efficiently, making collective decisions, and time management. The final results are presented as posters and oral presentations.
